PORTFOLIO > Original Drawings and Commissioned Works

This drawing was commissioned by American Tinning and Galvanizing Company of Erie PA, USA. This original drawing celebrates the company's 80th year in business, illustrating the facility at three stages of its development throughout this period. My favorite drawing is the central image showing the building around 1931, interesting in the myriad textures, shadows and shapes. To me, that particular image is powerfully evocative of American industry during that period of history. As for the anniversary, the celebrations continue as the company moves ahead into the future! This was a most intriguing and enjoyable project.
